BAGGAGE WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED, for reasons of safety as well as the physical capacity of the aircraft. If your luggage is overweight, you will incur considerable extra costs and your bags can be delayed as they may not travel with you. While Marmara Tours will endeavor to protect your property, baggage, personal effects and other possessions are carried at your own risk. Baggage insurance is strongly recommended.

Within the time and mileage outlines shown in your itinerary, your guide and/or driver-guide is at your disposal and you are free to explore as you please. Should you require additional time or mileage during your tour; costs will be quoted on request and paid for locally.

* Airport departure taxes. As a rule this tax is included on your international air ticket; if not, it will be levied on departure from Turkey.

* Storage and/or transportation of excess baggage
* Meals (other than those stated in “Inclusions”) or room service charges
* Personal items such as drinks; laundry; telephone or fax charges; traveler’s insurance; equipment rental
* Excess mileage carried out at the request of the participants
* Additional driver-guide services
* ANY ITEMS NOT SPECIFIED UNDER “INCLUSIONS”
Charges for extra meals, transport, sightseeing services or other optional additions to your established itinerary are your responsibility and must be paid locally.
Dining With Your Guide
On days when dinner has not been included in your itinerary (or in your tour cost), you may, at your discretion, choose to invite your guide to dine with your party. You are under no obligation to do so but, if you do extend such an invitation, the guide is your guest and you will be responsible for the cost of his/her meal.
Marmara Tours must receive a deposit of 20% before reservations for your independent travel program can be initiated. The balance of payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
When a written cancellation is received by Marmara Tours more than 60 days prior to departure, the deposit will be refunded in full.
Written cancellations received less than 60 days prior to departure are subject to the following forfeit of tour cost
59-45 days, 20% of tour cost
45-30 days, 50% of tour cost
Within 29 days of departure, 100% of tour cost.
Marmara Tours LLC cannot be responsible or liable for loss, damage or theft of personal luggage and belongings, nor can we be liable for personal injury, accident or illness. In most foreign countries, insurance coverage of personal injury, accident or illness is not available on the basis of U.S. standards. That is why we strongly urge you to check with your insurance agent to make sure you are adequately covered for any eventualities. You can purchase additional insurance from either your insurance broker or your travel agent to cover luggage, personal effects and accident and health. We strongly recommend the purchase of “trip cancellation” insurance.
Prices and Arrangements
Once an itinerary is finalized and deposit has been received, a $75 revision fee will be charged if the itinerary is changed.
The tour price includes planning, handling and operational charges. Rates are quoted in US Dollars on the current rate of exchange. Marmara Tours reserves the right to increase tour prices to cover increased costs, tariffs and taxes, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets. Devaluation of a foreign currency will be weighed against any tariff increases imposed. Marmara Tours is under no obligation to give breakdown costs involved in any Escorted or Tailor Made program.
Additional expenses incurred due to change, delay or cancellation of any flights, or any delays or events beyond Marmara Tours’s control, will be the responsibility of the client. Flights are occasionally subject to overbooking or cancellation. If this occurs, Marmara Tours’s correspondent companies will do all possible to assist clients in boarding or finding alternate arrangements. IT MUST BE STRESSED THAT THIS IS DONE AS A COURTESY TO CLIENTS, AND MARMARA TOURS CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR DENIED BOARDING, OR FOR THE ADDITIONAL COSTS THUS INCURRED, OR FOR MONIES NOT RECOVERED FOR MISSED LAND ARRANGEMENTS DUE TO AIRLINE DELAYS.
Marmara Tours LLC. and their representatives reserve the right to withdraw any tour or any part of it, to make alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary or desirable, to refuse to accept or retain as a member of the tour any person at any time, and to pass onto tour members any expenditures or losses caused by delays or events beyond its control.
Limits on Marmara Tours’s Responsibility
Marmara Tours, LLC. does not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip. It purchases transportation, hotel and other lodging accommodations, restaurant, ground handling and other services from various independent suppliers (including other affiliated Marmara Tours companies). All such persons and entities are independent contractors. As a result Marmara Tours is not liable for any negligent or willful act of any such person or entity or of any third person.
In addition and without limitation, Marmara Tours is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.
There are certain inherent risks in adventure travel of the type involved here. These include, but are not limited to, risks of white water rafting, kayaking and rafting (for example dangers of rapidly moving water, rocks and other submerged objects, hypothermia, etc), horseback riding, (for example, unpredictable behavior by the horses, being spooked, etc) hiking, walking safaris, downhill or cross country skiing, (for example, equipment failures, ice or other trail obstructions) and in all trips dangers of animals, inaccessibility to medical attention and difficulty in evacuation from remote locations in the case of a medical emergency. Passenger assumes all such risks with regard to these possibilities.
Travel Advisories and Warnings: It is the responsibility of The Traveler to become informed about the most current travel advisories and warnings by referring to the U. S. State Department’s travel website at www.travel.state.gov or by phone at 1-888-407- 4747. In the event of an active State Department Travel Warning against travel to the specific destination location(s) of the trip, should The Traveler still choose to travel, notwithstanding any travel advisory or warning, The Traveler assumes all risk of personal injury, death or property damage that may arise out of the events like those advised or warned against.
